An official gauge of Chinese factory activity hit a near five-year high this month as government stimulus spending and rising prices for factory goods bolstered the world’s second-largest economy.
China’s official manufacturing purchasing managers’ index edged up to 51.8 in March from 51.6 in February, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday.
